Tattoos worth taking your time over

A calm, appointment-only studio for thoughtful, one-off tattoo work.

The studio

A private room, not a shop floor

Love For Ink is a private, appointment-only studio in Taunton. There’s no walk-in counter and no rush — just one appointment at a time, with your artist’s full attention and the time to get the piece right.

We’d rather do fewer tattoos well than many in a hurry, and that starts with a proper conversation about your idea before any needle comes out. If it’s your first tattoo, that calm makes a real difference.

Meet the artists

Love For Ink is home to artists with different styles and approaches. See each artist’s work and how they approach it — or, if you’re not sure who fits your idea, book a consultation and we’ll match you.

Ioannis, Japanese & Blackwork Tattoo Artist at Love For Ink

Ioannis

Japanese & Blackwork Tattoo Artist

Japanese · Blackwork · Illustrative · Black & Grey

Calm, honest and collaborative — Ioannis talks an idea through properly before he draws it, and will tell you straight how a design will sit and age. Happiest on large Japanese and black & grey work.

Thoughtful and warm, and never in a hurry. Rita’s minimalist line-work grows out of nature, plants, animals and organic forms, and she’ll work through your idea with you, however half-formed it starts.

Pricing & deposits

Every tattoo is priced individually — size, placement, style and detail all change the work involved. The studio minimum is £60. For larger, full-day or multi-session work, we’ll talk through a price once we’ve seen your idea.

A deposit secures your appointment and lets design work begin: £100 minimum (more for larger pieces), non-refundable, and deducted from the final price. If you need to move your appointment, that’s fine once with 14+ days’ notice. We accept cash, bank transfer and card.

Questions, answered

How do I book?

Everything starts with an enquiry — there’s no instant online booking. You view the work, send an enquiry, have a consultation if one’s needed, then we agree a quote and date and a deposit books it in.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

Every enquiry is read personally. We usually reply within 2–5 working days. For certain kinds of work we may suggest a consultation first.

Do I need a consultation?

Not for everything — mainly for larger, custom, Japanese, cover-up or scar work, or if you’re unsure. For straightforward work the enquiry form is enough.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Every tattoo is priced individually, with a £60 studio minimum. Larger, full-day or multi-session work is discussed once we’ve seen your idea, size, placement, style and detail.

Is Love For Ink suitable for a first tattoo?

Absolutely — first tattoos are welcome and taken seriously. Send an enquiry with your idea and we’ll guide you through what to expect.

Can you do cover-ups?

Cover-ups are considered case by case. Please send clear photos in natural daylight. Not every cover-up can be achieved exactly as requested, so we’ll often recommend a consultation before confirming what’s possible.
